Hiii! Welcome to my brand new baby web-world, I’m grateful to share this ongoing project over here <3. I’m an artist, educator and goopy human. For years, I’ve been wanting to redesign my whole website – to make it feel more authentically me – more like a living, breathing extension of my creative practice vs a static/ generic portfolio of my finished works. I finally dove into this project with Kening’s House on the Webs guidance; her course and her web-world really inspired me to bring more of myself **and my process into how I share my work online!
As I plan to leave instagram, I’ve been guided by the question: How can I most authentically and joyfully share my work? I have lots of ideas (clothes! stickers! zines! snail mail!), and my top priority was creating a digital home for my work that I actually felt good about. I’ve been building this new website from scratch. It’s a lot of work, but it has also been so expansive and liberating. Unlike Instagram, I’m remembering that websites are spaces where we can have ~full creative autonomy~!!! I’m embracing the creative freedom, experimenting with content and design as I slowly re-populate and grow my new site. For example, I’m a super analog person and a craft-based artist, so I’ve been particularly curious about exploring how I can bring in the human hand and tactility to a digital space. Lots more I want to play with and grow!
